EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Springfield school district is set to break ground on a new Pershing Middle School in mid-2026 — a $58 million project funded by a 2023 bond and scheduled to be finished in 2028. The new two-story building for grades 6-8 will be built on the northeast campus while the old K-8 structure is demolished for athletic fields.  Springfield News-Leader
