  • A Springfield family in need is asking for donations of coats and warm clothing for their six children after losing a second income due to health issues. Gifts can be dropped off at Crosslines Community Outreach (3055 E. Division St.) Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Springfield News-Leader

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Springfield-Greene County Library is hosting a food drive through Dec. 14 and running Winter Wanderings with scavenger hunts and a free book incentive, while Midtown Carnegie offers free computer classes; the library also plans a One Read book event with Kate Quinn (April 23) at Hatch Auditorium next spring.  Springfield News-Leader
