- ➤ A local family is facing holiday stress after car troubles forced them to adjust work schedules and apply to Share Your Christmas for gift help. - ➤ The Jingle Bell Run on Saturday morning at Jordan Valley Park raised funds for arthritis research and exceeded a $20,000 goal by collecting over $32,000 with 330 participants. Organizers marked its return after a long break. KY3

- ➤ Central Crossing Fire Protection District mourned the loss of former firefighter Logan Price (2019 to 2024) and his uncle Mike Carr after a car crash on Friday night. KY3
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, Dec. 6, around 200 people marked the final day at Republic Branch Library at 921 Lindsay Ave by forming a human book chain that passed 600 books to a new 21,820 sqft building, which will open in February + host a grand opening on June 1. Springfield Daily Citizen
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Realtor.com data shows that Greene County median home prices fell 3.7% in September from August. Single-family homes dropped 5.1% while condo and townhome prices jumped 46.8% as recorded sales increased 3.3% compared to last year — clear signs of a shifting market. Springfield News-Leader

- ➤ Nixa fell 41 to 37 in the Class 6 state football championship game against Lee’s Summit as Preston Hatfield set records with 457 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Lee’s Summit claimed its first state title while Nixa ended the season at 12 to 1. KY3
