- ➤ Seven high school students were nominated as November’s Student of the Month for academic excellence & community service, and local leaders chose these candidates based on their achievements. Voting is open until 11 a.m. on Nov. 20 with one vote allowed per hour, and the winner will be announced online Friday. Springfield News-Leader
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Missouri State beat UTEP 38—24 on Saturday as quarterback Jacob Clark threw 330 yards and four touchdowns and the team ran the ball in the final quarter to finish 7—3 and remain near the top of Conference USA.
