  • The Springfield Veterans Day Parade returned for its second year to honor local veterans and was hosted by Ozarks Elder Law—who said a lack of funding had caused a seven-year break, making the event important to support those who serve.  KY3

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Library is hosting several programs this November that offer art, fashion, card collecting and volunteer opportunities. Events include a Jane Austen fashion talk at 6:30 p.m. on November 13 at Schweitzer Brentwood Branch, a Guinness World Records party on November 14 for ages 7-14, and a volunteer fair + art session with a card collectors meetup for kids on November 15 at the Library Center.  Springfield News-Leader

SPORTS NEWS

  • Missouri State quarterback Jacob Clark rallied the Bears with four key passes—culminating in a 13-yard touchdown to freshman Tristian Gardner with 27 seconds left—to overcome a slow first half and defeat home-standing Liberty 21–17 on Saturday at Williams Stadium. The Bears turned the game around in the fourth quarter to secure their fourth win of the season.  KY3
