- ➤ Thousands joined a 'No Kings' protest in Springfield, Mo on Saturday, Oct. 18—an event that drew between 1,500 and 2,000 people at the corner of Sunshine and National despite intermittent rain. Smaller protests in Stockton and Bolivar attracted crowds of roughly 45 and 40–60 people, respectively. OzarksFirst.com
- ➤ Kevin Howard has spent 30 years on Springfield radio, hosting weekday shows on 98.7 The Dove with co-host Chris Louzader since his arrival in 1995 and organizing the annual charity breakfast Boobapalooza. The 26th annual event (set for Friday, Oct. 24 at Coyotes Adobe Café from 6 to 10 a.m.) will benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks with a $10 donation. OzarksFirst.com
