- ➤ More than a thousand people participated in Saturday’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield as teams wore purple outfits and personalized t-shirts to honor loved ones with dementia. The event raised over $161,000 toward a $195,000 goal to support patient care and research—promising continued progress. KY3

- ➤ On Saturday, the Glo Center hosted the first Pride on C-Street event with extra security — off-duty police, road barricades and armed private security — after unspent rifle bullets with threatening messages were found outside the center. Executive Director Aaron Schekora said the center will review its safety protocols for daily programming. KY3
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Rescue One, a non-profit veterinary clinic in Springfield, will face closure after December 1 as its current veterinarian is leaving and the search for a replacement—possibly a new graduate or retired vet—continues.
