- ➤ On Saturday morning, hundreds gathered at Hammons Field for a stair climb honoring those lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks—participants walked the 110-story distance of the World Trade Center and raised nearly $28,000 with a goal of reaching $40,000 to support surviving families and coworkers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a muzzleloader deer hunt for people with disabilities Oct. 11-12 at the Bois D’Arc Conservation Area in Greene County—closing the area to other activities for safety. The Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center will remain open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the conservation area will reopen to the public Oct. 13. OzarksFirst.com

These games featured standout efforts such as Sam Frieze’s 293 passing yards and four touchdowns, Republic’s over 400 yards on the ground, and Nixa coach John Perry reaching his 200th win.
