- ➤ Drury University said today that after a hand-drawn target was found on an exterior door of the Hammons School of Architecture and a student saw a red dot, campus staff moved students indoors while Drury Security & the Springfield Police Department used drones and cameras to search for any threat—no further evidence was found and more personnel will stay on campus. - ➤ The 63rd-annual Steam-O-Rama event started on Sept. 11 in Ash Grove and will continue through Sept. 14 at the historic Whinrey Homestead off State Highway O, featuring live steam engines, tractor demonstrations, a daily parade and various family activities. - ➤ On Thursday morning, dozens of people climbed the stairs at Plaster Stadium at MSU to honor victims of the September 11 attack and the War on Terror—organizers from The Warrior’s Journey and MSU veteran groups raised funds to support veterans.
