  • In Springfield, community groups including the NAACP and Missouri Faith Voices met on Sunday to oppose plans by the whites-only group Return to the Land, which claimed it would preserve white European culture by building settlements here. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Sunday, August 10, a 24-year-old Cassville man lost control of his 1996 Ford Explorer on Farm Road 2165 and hit a tree—he was seriously injured and airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield while his vehicle was totaled.  OzarksFirst.com

  • A ceremony on August 10 at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield marked the 164th anniversary of the battle, with speakers sharing how the fight cost many lives and why the park matters for learning about Missouri’s past—local officials noted that the historic site also helps local tourism.  OzarksFirst.com
