- ➤ Victory Mission celebrated groundbreaking of its new $22 million Victory Headquarters today in Springfield as it begins expanding shelter operations to hold 30% more people. State funds of $11 million have been provided and additional support is being raised—this new facility will combine administrative offices, emergency shelter, transitional shelter and long-term recovery housing to replace a 70-year-old building soon uninhabitable. - ➤ VIVI recalled certain e-bikes because their 36-volt lithium-ion batteries have caused overheating and fire reports, including three fires with no injuries noted. Consumers who bought these e-bikes online between December 2020 and November 2023 must stop using them and follow proper disposal rules & contact VIVI for a free replacement battery and charger. KY3

- ➤ Springfield Public Schools will host the Back to School Bash on July 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Springfield Expo Center, where free backpacks, hygiene kits + groceries will be available to families. - ➤ Brightli, a Springfield-based nonprofit mental healthcare provider, announced plans to merge with Centerstone from Nashville. CEO C.J. Davis said the new group will have around 10,000 employees and serve 250,000 people annually while due diligence is underway and final decisions on the new name and headquarters will be made in the next 60 days—closing is expected in November.
