- ➤ Many fireworks shows are planned across the Ozarks ahead of the Fourth of July. Today, the Cassidy Station Drone and Fireworks Show runs from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with food trucks, live music and a drone show at 9:15 pm—other events are scheduled through July 5 to offer family-friendly viewing options. - ➤ NūStory Coffee Co. opened in Nixa as a wholesale business serving local clients, using coffee beans sourced from Guatemala and other countries. Founder Graham Goshinmon—who traveled the world in search of quality coffee—launched the company in February and plans to expand its local accounts while upgrading its roasting equipment. - ➤ A Springfield family mourned 16-year-old Daniel Stahl, who was killed in St. Louis on Sunday morning when George McDonald III ran him over and injured another woman—he was charged with leaving the scene and his body was scheduled to be returned to Springfield on Monday. KY3

- ➤ Today, James River Church volunteers are renovating public schools in Springfield and Joplin by painting 85,000 square feet of walls and updating landscaping at Cherokee Middle School and Joplin High School—these projects include minor construction and deep cleaning—to improve school facilities. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Springfield’s City Utilities will celebrate Transit Appreciation Week from June 23 through June 27 to honor bus drivers, dispatchers and riders. The week will include free rides, special gifts and zoo coupons—offers available when using the MyRide SGF app to track bus times. KY3
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Devyn Wright, an Ozark grad and NAIA champion sprinter at Evangel, signed with Arkansas after visiting top track facilities and accepting a scholarship that covers his tuition and books — his 400-meter time would have ranked 18th at the NCAA Division I championships. - ➤ The Springfield Cardinals clinched the Texas League North first-half title with a 7 to 2 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks on Thursday night, which secured a playoff berth later this season (the team now has the best overall record at 40 to 26).
