- ➤ Local rescuers worked hard to save Juggy—a stray dog with a jug stuck on his head—from a dangerous nine-day ordeal near Springfield. Residents finally caught him on a porch, and he now starts a new life with a caring family. KY3
- ➤ On Memorial Day (Monday, May 25), the Veterans Cemetery in Springfield hosted a service honoring 150 years of veteran sacrifice with flag placements, speeches and a shuttle from The Springs Church for attendees. KY3
- ➤ On Memorial Day, hundreds gathered at Phelps Park in Springfield for the Together Across America Mutual Aid event that distributed free gas cards, laundromat cards, clothing, food, and other urgent items (exceeding organizers' expectations). Volunteers say more such events are needed to support the community. KY3

- ➤ Bookmarx at 325 E. Walnut St. is expanding into the adjacent space by doubling its footprint to add an expanded children's section+ event area and a new book-buying counter.
