EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MU announced a new 4-year medical school at 3737 E. Battlefield Road offering a preadmission program for Springfield students; an initial cohort of 32 will begin in 2027. The program aims to address local doctor shortages + support community-based healthcare. Springfield Daily Citizen
- ➤ Ozarks Tech awarded more than 2,500 degrees on May 14 at two ceremonies held at Great Southern Bank Arena. Nearly 900 graduates earned credentials in Arts, Sciences, Business, Health, and technical education (a milestone for the community) as they celebrated local achievement. Springfield News-Leader
- ➤ Springfield Public Schools will offer free breakfast and lunch to children 18 and under through the USDA SUN Meals program from June 1 to June 26 at various school sites, and families will not need to register or show ID when they check in at the school office. KY3
