- ➤ On April 29, a storm with winds reaching 90 mph felled about 20 maple trees at Maple Park Cemetery—causing broken limbs, headstones, and an estimated $50,000 in damage. Superintendent Kaitlyn Andrews said the cemetery remains unsafe as a local tree service works to clear debris. Springfield Daily Citizen

- ➤ John Deere Reman broke ground on a $13.5 million expansion at its Core Center facility in Strafford on May 5. The expansion will add 120,000 square feet at 601 S. - ➤ A Springfield soldier, John Michael Bradley, pleaded guilty on May 5 to federal counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor in Honduras and admitted he abused the child from age four during active duty and later civilian visits+ the victim reported the abuse in 2021. KY3

- ➤ Ernie Biggs will perform a one-night dueling pianos show at The Riff at 1900 W. Sunset on Saturday, May 10 to keep the brand alive after closing its downtown location in January — owner Ryan Neas teamed with local partners and expects a large crowd during graduation weekend. OzarksFirst.com
