- ➤ Charity Fent, a self-taught baker known for her fondant decoration, opened her brick-and-mortar cake design store at Brentwood Shopping Center (2648 S. Glenstone Ave.) on May 5, 2021. - ➤ University of Missouri-Columbia will launch a new four-year medical school at a site off Battlefield Road near Highway 65 with help from CoxHealth and Mercy Springfield.
