ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Todric McGee, a 21-year-old Missouri State football safety, was accidentally shot Friday—he died Saturday morning at the hospital as teammates and coaches mourned his loss while police investigated the incident. OzarksFirst.com
- ➤ A tree fell on a trailer home in southwest Springfield on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. along West Battlefield Road near Grizzly Industrial as heavy storms brought rain, lightning, and winds and a woman with her three dogs were inside but no one was injured. KY3
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Goldie Winsted, a Springfield AmeriCorps volunteer who began work with FEMA in February, was sent home early on April 15 when funding cuts forced thousands of young volunteers out of the program.
