- ➤ Citizens in Greene County celebrated Patriots’ Day to mark the 250th anniversary of the American Revolutionary War by honoring the first battles of Lexington and Concord with a ceremony led by the Ozark Mountain chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution — county officials said more patriotic events will be held ahead of next July 4th. - ➤ Simply Everything Apple, a locally owned repair shop in Springfield that has served the community since 1984, is watching potential tariff changes that could affect the cost and availability of Apple parts for repairs. - ➤ On Friday night, an EF-0 tornado touched down briefly in southeast Greene County causing broken branches and damage to a few outbuildings near E. Farm Road 186 and S. Farm Road 203. - ➤ The Springfield Fire Department reported a drop in opioid incidents after distributing 185 Narcan kits in 2024, down from 282 kits last year—officials said increased community education and access helped reduce the overdoses. KY3
