Volunteers and city workers cleaned litter on Route 66 (from Glenstone Avenue to Chestnut Expressway) in Springfield as part of the Mother Road Refresh effort preparing for the National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff Celebration.

The Springfield Art Museum held its monthly Fassnight Creek cleanup event Saturday in partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board and offered an outdoor 'On the Lawn' event with free yoga, yard games & live music.

The museum is accepting volunteers for future cleanups while it is closed for renovations.
