- ➤ Buc-ee's, a Texas chain with a gas station here, filed a lawsuit on March 19 against Marshfield's Barc-ee's for using a name and logo that may confuse customers—claiming the design resembles its own and could hurt its reputation. - ➤ Springfield police and Tristan Melton’s family are seeking help to find the missing teen (17, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes) who was last seen near Sunshine Street and Highway 65 on March 13 and may be wearing white shoes, black track pants, a black leather jacket, and carrying two black backpacks. - ➤ The History Museum on the Square has programs that let students see history come alive with fun field trips and hands-on displays—schools and homeschool groups can sign up to learn about Springfield’s past. - ➤ MoDOT announced at a public meeting that work to replace the Sunshine Street bridge over MNA Railroad tracks was postponed, and construction is expected to start next month but may not begin until two to three months later (the project will close the busy road for four months and add new sidewalks on both sides of Sunshine between Scenic and Marion).
