- ➤ Hillcrest boys basketball won the Class 5 District 6 championship on Saturday, March 7 in Willard when junior guard Kyrese Simpson hit a game-winning layup with 3.7 seconds left, setting the team up to face Helias Catholic in the state quarterfinal at Nixa High School on March 14. - ➤ Missouri State's Michael Osei-Bonsu played his final home game on Saturday at Great Southern Bank Arena, scoring 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 75-63 loss to Middle Tennessee State; the Bears now prepare for their next C-USA Tournament game against Florida International on Tuesday in Huntsville (5:30 p.m.).
