Springfield high school students are learning food service skills in the ProStart program, which teaches restaurant management and culinary techniques (a two-year curriculum that also prepares them for local competitions and chef placements).

Springfield is reviewing its trash and recycling code and will host three public sessions in March to gather community feedback before City Council considers the proposed changes later.

Meetings run from 6-8 p.m. at the Greene County Election Center (Mar. 10), Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library (Mar. 16), and Botanical Center (Mar. 24).
