- ➤ Volunteers are needed at Springfield's Ozarks Food Harvest as demand for food assistance rises. Tyler Wayne and Sarah Byrd said residents can view available opportunities through Volunteer Ozarks. KY3

CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Stained Glass Theatre will open its new production Love Is on the Air this weekend in Springfield (directed by Darrel Priddle), featuring a comedy about family mix-ups at a Bible broadcast station. KY3
- ➤ Through The Windshield, Missouri’s Route 66 exhibit opens Thursday, Feb. 5 at the State Historical Society of Missouri in Columbia. A traveling version will reach Springfield in August — at the Springfield Research Center, featuring photographs, ad copies, postcards, and interviews with locals who experienced Route 66 history. - ➤ Missouri officials urge residents to prepare for potential quakes during Earthquake Awareness Month by assembling a go bag, practicing drop + cover + hold on techniques, and reviewing insurance policies in the New Madrid fault zone. The preparedness steps aim to minimize disruption from future earthquakes. KY3
- ➤ Residents earning under $89,000 qualify to file taxes free using IRS software or local help. Drury University and partners will host tax clinics at O’Reilly Enterprise Center Feb. 5-March 5 (Mondays and Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and at Springfield Dream Center on Feb. 21 (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
