- ➤ The Springfield Multicultural Festival will take place Jan. 19 at the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center from noon to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event features global music, food sampling, international performances, and a Wellness Village for local health and community resources. - ➤ A Greene County resident won a $100,000 top prize on a 'Fat Wallet' Scratchers ticket bought at Break Time on W. Republic Road in Springfield. Lottery officials say players have won over $8.9 million so far, and some prizes remain unclaimed. KY3

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Children’s Smile Center will open a larger dental office (112 S. Ridgecrest Ave.) in Nixa before the end of January to boost care from 6,500 to 9,000 Medicaid children across six counties. Springfield Daily Citizen
- ➤ CoxHealth broke ground on a 133,000 sqft pediatric hospital in Springfield on January 9. The facility, built with St. Louis Children’s Hospital and WashU Medicine, will start offering in-hospital services in March and fully open in summer 2027. KY3
