HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials said nearly 22 percent of Missouri high school students have taken up vaping, raising concerns about long-term brain effects, and Dr. Sadaf Sohrab (a Mercy Springfield pulmonologist) warned that teens mistakenly view e-cigarettes as harmless water vapor. KY3
- ➤ Doctors at Mercy in Springfield warn that ramping up exercise too quickly can cause overuse injuries (shin splints, tendonitis, knee pain). They advise starting small, warming up properly, and taking recovery days to help the body adapt safely. KY3
