About this event

Please join the Missouri State

gerontology program

and Springfield filmmaker

Randy Bacon

for a special screening of the film "The Soft Surrender."

"The Soft Surrender" is an intimate documentary exploring the beauty, courage and humanity found at the end of life. Through the personal stories of patients, families and caregivers, the film offers a window into experiences of laughter, grief, connection and love during life's final chapter.

Directed by Randy Bacon in association with Earthworks Films, "The Soft Surrender" invites viewers to consider not only how we approach dying, but what the end of life can teach us about living.

Following the screening, Randy Bacon will join us for a QandA and discussion about the film and the stories behind it.
